May 10, 2024, Royal Plowing Ceremony Day.

The Royal Plowing Ceremony (Phuetcha Mongkhon) consists of two combined rituals:

1. The Phuetcha Mongkhon Ceremony: A Buddhist ritual held on the first day at the Ubosot (ordination hall) of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha).

2. The Royal Plowing Ceremony (Ceremony of the First Plow): A Brahmanical ritual conducted on the following day at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground.

These ceremonies are significant cultural events aimed at blessing the nation's agricultural season and ensuring a bountiful harvest.
